The Internet and web technologies have always been a part of the software projects Fieldstone Software designs and builds.  It’s very rare that the software we build does not include at least a minor element of web design and development.  Normally, web development is a major part of all of our projects.

We handle all web site development from very basic small business sites up to very large and complex sites that require custom database design and development.

For our own site as well as many sites we set up, we use content management software called WordPress.  Using WordPress is a relatively inexpensive way to get your website up and running quickly.  Wordpress also enables multiple people at your organization to manage your website right from a web browser with little training.

For more complex sites that require many custom features and a database back-end, we typically use CakePHP with a MySQL database behind it to store data.  Using this technology, almost anything is possible.  We used CakePHP and MySQL to build GoRoller.com.
