Blackberry Apps Here to Stay or Going Away?

Blackberry Applications aren’t as popular with consumers these days as Android and iPhone apps.  Blackberry devices are optimized for messaging and they’re still faster and easier to use in that respect than their competition.  Because of this and the early investments of RIM to focus on corporate customers, including lots of great security features and seamless integration with MS Exchange, Blackberry continues to be a strong presence in the mobile world.

If you are considering building a mobile app, depending on your target market, you should keep Blackberry on your list of platforms to consider.  If you’re trying to target teenagers with a fun new game, Blackberry shouldn’t be on the top of your list.  But, if you’re trying to focus on business users with a strong preference for efficiency, you should consider Blackberry apps.
